HX-8800 is one-component, neutral-curing, low modulus siliconesealant with good adhesion and long shelf life for the constructionand glazing industry.
HX-8800 cures at room temperature under the action ofatmospheric moisture to give a permanently flexible siliconerubber.

Application
Sealing between glass and aluminum of structural bonding.
Sealing of joints between glazing and supporting structure.
Sealing of connecting and expansion joints in the building.
Adhesion
HX-8800 exhibits excellent primerless adhesion to manysubstrates, e.g. glass, tiles, ceramics, enamel, glazed tiles andclinker; metal, e.g. aluminium, steel, zinc or copper;impregnated, varnished or painted wood; and many plastics.
Users must carry out their own tests due to the great variety ofsubstances.
The adhesion can be improved in many cases by pretreatment ofthe substrates with a primer.
Restrictions on use
HX-8800 may be discolored in contact with some organicelastomers, e.g. EPDM, APTK and neoprene.
HX-8800 is not recommended for use on natural stone, such asmarble, granite, quartzite, as it can cause staining.
HX-8800 is not recommended for sealing of aquaria.
The curing time can be extended at lower temperature, lowhumidity or by low volume of air change.
