NaI (TI)is a kind of scintillation crystal with good performance. It isgrown by host material sodium iodide doped with appropriatepercentage of thallium. The main emission wavelength is 415nm,which well matched with the working wavelength of photomultipliertubes (PMTs). It has very high luminescence efficiency and exhibitsno significant self absorption of the scintillation light and hasgood resolution ability to X-ray and γ-ray.
