The coolant flows through the plastic fabric of the continuous filter belt on the suction chamber, with any impurities being deposited as the filter cake. A high level of filtering capacity is achieved using the suction pump. When the maximum differential pressure is reached as the filter cake builds up the plastic belt is jogged forward in defined steps. This allows a portion of the suction surface to be covered again with cleansed fabric. The soiled filter sludge is transported through the drying station and into the sludge carriage. A machine supply pump transports the cleansed coolant back to the processing machine. Depending on the application at hand, the cleansed coolant can also be moderated using a HOFFMANN chilling unit.
