Typical Applications about ORings:
Successful o ring joint design requires a rigidmechanical mounting that applies a predictable deformation to the oring. This introduces a calculated mechanical stress at the o ringcontacting surfaces. As long as the pressure of the fluid beingcontained does not exceed the contact stress of the o ring, leakingcannot occur.
High temperature applications ForO Ring:
In some high temperature applications, o ringsmay need to be mounted in a tangentially compressed state tocompensate for the Gow-Joule effect.
