Ⅳ.TAPE - INNERWRAP - CORROSION PROTECTIonTAPEAsymmetrically structured three-ply plastics tape consistingof a stabilized polyethylene backing with plastic butyl rubber onboth sides. The consistency of the butyl rubber on theone side facing the pipe surface should be formulated insuch a way that, under tension, it flows on uneven steel surfaces. To facilitate correct application this butyl layer should be of ablack color. The grey butyl layer of the tape must face thesteel and this should always be the thicker layer of butylrubber. In order to avoid delaminating tape must containco-extruded intermediate layers. The tape must be fully compatible with the properties of theprimer. The tape must be self-amalgamating between the layers andat the overlaps and must have a release paper or film.Ⅴ.TAPE ROLL SIZESa) Handapplication roll core diameter 41 mmTapelength 15 m Tapewidths 50 and 100 mmb) Application withhand wrapping machine, roll corediameter 41 mmTapelength 15 m Tapewidths 50 and 100 mmc) Application withhand wrapping machine, roll core diameter 78 mmTapelength depending on pipe diameter Tapewidths 100 and 150 mmd) Application withmotor driven wrapping machine, roll core diameter 78mmTapelength depending on pipe diameter Tapewidths 100 and 150 mmⅥ.TAPE - OUTERWRAP - MECHANICAL PROTECTIONTAPETwo-ply plastics tape consisting of a stabilized high densitypolyethylene backing with plastic butyl rubber on one side. The outer wrap tape must be fully compatible with the properties ofthe inner wrap. The outer wrap must fully self-amalgamate with theinner wrap tape at contact areas. In order to avoid delaminating between carrierfilm and butyl rubber, tape should contain co-extruded intermediatelayers.Ⅶ.TAPE SYSTEMTape system shall comply with EN 12068(stress-class C-50) and DIN 30672 (stress-class C-50).Structure: primer compatible with inner wrapinnerwrap 2 layers (min. 50% overlap)outerwrap 2 layers (min. 50% overlap)

These machines must be able toautomatically remove the release film from the inner wrap tape, maintain constant overlap and give the necessary tapetension.
