In addition to the more standard bearings shown onearlier pages, SOCARE® Has extensive experience in the design andmanufacture of customized or special bearings and assemblies. Thisexperience allows us to match the product to therequirements. 

The ball and roller bearings shown below are only a sampling of ourcustom capabilities, provided to further inspire your creativity tofind the optimum solution. 

A thin-sectioned cross roller bearing combines the features ofhigher stiffness, increased dynamic capacity, and lower turningtorque with weight and space savings. Rollers may be oriented asneeded to maximum load carrying ability and fatigue life. Designswith similar configurations and features range from 15 inches toover 90 inches. 

A thin-sectioned large diameter bearing with external gear madefrom special stainless steel rings, plastic rolling elements, andseparator for low permeability and to limit out-gassing. Use ofplastic rolling elements also permits operation withoutlubrication. Similar designs and components have been produced forsizes up to 70 inches. 


A complex three-row roller bearing with minimal raceway materialprovides the customer with light weight and space savingopportunities. The thin sections and unusual configurations permitcompact overall design. Three separate rows of rollers permit usein applications with simultaneous as well as reversing radial,axial, and moment loads. Roller complement and raceways may beoriented and designed to optimize capacity and fatigue life as wellas stiffness. Designs with similar features have exceeded 90deg.

Thisconfiguration when combined with precision components permitsaccurate, smooth, independent, and synchronized rotation of therings and any attached components. Use of a separator increases thebearing¡ ¯ S seals, permits minimal rotational resistance. Thetotal package significantly reduces the number of components neededto perform the same functions as this design currentlydoes. 

A four-point ball bearing with integrated v-belt groove in one ringpermits a simple mechanical drive option at low cost with nolubrication and minimal maintenance. Belt drive designs, flat ortooth, are potential alternative solutions depending on applicationconditions. Use of a separator increases the bearing¡ ¯ S operatingspeed capability and, combined with low friction seals, permitsminimal rotational resistance.
