Al2O3-C shroud (ZrO2-C compound for slag line), submerged entrynozzle(SEN) and monolithic stopper developed by LIRR iswith high strength, good corrosion resistance and trermalshock resistance. Shroud may be used directly without pre-heatingdue to its excellent thermal shock resistance, and it is warmlywelcomed by the customers. SEN has good Al2O3 anticloggingability without argon blowing which ensures smooth con-casting ofhigh quality steel such as car steel, oil well steel and ship shellsteel. Particularly, SEN for slab casting has reasonalb materialscomposition and structurral configuration design so it performswell in near net shapecon-casting which ensures to form even andstable steel stream.
