BKD two-stage blower is composed of two BKW blowersconnected in series connection, for increased pressure capabilityas compared to a single blower. An inter-stagecooler is included between the blower stages to reduce theexit temperature from the first stage blower to prevent overheatingof the second stage blower. This feature increases the performanceof the complete system. The second stage blower is equipped with acheck valve to protect the first stage blower from being damaged ifan upset condition occurs in second stage blower.
