Clarifying agent BT-9803 is used for producing high claritypolypropylene. The product acts as a clarifying agent, by creatinga large number of small size spherulites (<1μm) during thecooling of the polypropylene melt. These small spherulites lead toa polypropylene that has greatly improved clarity and reduces hazecompared to polypropylene which is not clarified. It is ideal forfood contact applications. This kind of products of suchstructural formula has been approved by FDA allowable using in foodcontacts in the world market.

Industrial Use

Clarifying agent BT-9803 is high effective clarifying agent forpolypropylene homopolymer???random copolymer. Clarifying agentBT-9803 could be blended with polypropylene powder though the drymixing or the master batch and it gives high transparency andimproves mechanical properties, heat resistance. The notifiedchemical will be applied in thin wall injection moulding, filmsheet extrusion, blow moulding and rotational moulding.

Clarifying agent BT-9803 helped make polypropylene moreappealing to consumers and increased its usefulness throughimproved transparency. Leading injection molding markets, thefollowing products can be produced, including housewares, storagecases, living hinge cases, thin-wall containers and disposablesyringes and clarified polypropylene blow molded bottles forpharmaceuticals, spices, juices, sauces, vitamins, and babybottles.

The dosage for Homo PP, Random copolymer PP is recommendedbetween 0.2%--0.3%.
