Physichochemical Property

Coal tar has special distinctive odour. Its relative density is1.18~1.23 and the open flash point is at 200°C, and slightlydissolvie in water and Soluble in organic solvent, such asbenzene,alcohol, aether, chloroform, acetone etc... Its fume andair can become explosion mixture , meanwhile, if meeting clearfire, high hot that will have a combustion explosion danger ,reacting violently with oxidizer.

By fractionation, it can get dutrex, alkane, phenols and alsocan produce asphalt felt, fuel and carbon black from coal tar. CoalTar can be used in electricity generation, coking coal for steelmanufacturing and industrial process heating and medicated shampoo,soap and as a treatment for dandruff.
