Organic Citronella Oil

Citronella oil is also called vanilla oil.It is extracted from the lemon-grass by steam distillation. its main component is citronellal, geraniol and citronellol.

 

Technology standard of citronella oil:

Odor: green and astringency herb odor; strong and persistent odor;       

Appearance: light yellow liquid;

Relative density: 0.885-0.900 (20°C);   

Refractive index: 1.468-1.473 (20°C); 

Optical rotation:- 4-1 °(20°C);

 

Application:

Citronella oil is usually used to extract citronellal which can be synthesised into hydroxycitroellal, geraniol and menthol. Also the citronella oil can be used in insecticides, mosquito-repellent ,  soap perfume, and trace in food flavor.
