This lightweight tool is designedfor drilling blast, anchor and rock-splitting holes. Used forexample by contractors, armies and utilities who want convenientand efficient drilling without large compressors.
With standard integral steel, itdrills diameters of up to 50 mm (2”) and depths down to approx. 6 m(19.7 ft) by using hydraulic power for impact and rotation. A smalladditional compressor is needed for flushing. Without airflushing,it can be operated wholly by hydraulics and can drill holes of downto 1 m (3.3 ft) with a spiral hammer drill.
DSL rock drills utilize a DSLdeveloped high frequency technology which allows fast penetrationspeed with less strike force. This minimizes stress caused to thedrill tools and maximizes drill hole straightness. The trapezoidpiston – also innovated by DSL – also attributes to the drill speedas it is improving the movement of the strike impulse in the drillrod. The DSL DF600S and DF700S rock drills also have a doubledampening system to minimize stress to the shank adapter or strikerbar.
DSL is a high frequency rockdrills made for general excavations, mining, quarrying and bolting.Suitable drill steels are 25mm and 28mm extension and driftersteels. The rock drills are equipped with a separate side flushingbox. Flushing can be done with air or with water.
