Tubularlow-pressure mercury vapour discharge lamps.The tube wall isinternally coated with a white fluorescent powder.
Thispowder converts the UV radiation produced by the mercury gasdischarge into visual radiation.
Thefluorescent powder of/15 (red) and /16 (yellow) is mixed with apigment to filter out unwanted wavelenghts.
Thelamps are to be operated on HF or switch-start circuits.
Depending on thecontrol gear, dimming is possible.They are not suitable for use inpotentially explosive environments.
