2. Installation
Solar light must be installed in a sunny location where it canreceive
maximum sunlight during daytime hours. Any cover that shades thesolar
panel will affect its ability to absorb sunlight and decrease theamount of
brightness and duration of the LED lights and its function will bedecreased.
The selected location should not be near a nighttime light sourcesuch as a
porch light, street light, etc as these lights might prevent thesolar rope light
from automatically turning on.
The electronic box can be positioned in the ground with the tube adpointed
stake or on a flat surface with the wall mounting bracket. Alwaysplace the
tube or wall mounting bracket first, then attach the electronicbox. Be sure the
solar panel is pointed toward the light.
3. Operation
Charge battery for at least 8 hours before first use. Turn powerswitch to the
ON position and the selection switch to the AUTO position whenfirst
activated. NOTE : THE UNIT WILL NOT FUNCTION IF « MODE » IS
SELECTED WHEN FIRST ACTIVATED.
a. AUTO
Turning selection switch to the AUTO position will cycle thelights
through seven different flashing sequences : 1. Steady on, 2.Fast
twinkling, 3. Slow twinkling, 4. Slow flashing in series, 5.Slow
flashing in reverse series, 6. Fast flashing in series, 7. Slowflashing in
series followed by reverse series. Each sequence will last for
approximately 10 seconds.
b. MODE
The user can select any of the above sequence for constant use.While
in the AUTO position, turn the select switch to the MODEposition
when the desired sequence is illuminated. The light will continueto
operate in the selected mode until the unit is either turned off oranother
sequence is chosen.
4. Battery changing
If your lights should begin to illuminate dimly or for shorterdurations of
time, you should replace the rechargeble batteries in the followingway : 1.
Unscrew 4 screws and remove bottom plate from the electronic box,2.
Replace the old batteries with new one.
Warning : 1. Be sure that battery polarity and voltage arecorrect (wrong polarity is
dangerous), 2. Do not dispose of old batteries, they should berecycled.
