Description:
Powerful Permanent magnetic chucksPowerful Permanent magnetic chucks
A high powered Magnetic Chuck.
The solid top and bottom plates assure retained accuracy.
Full loading power is consistent over the whole plate. Positivehand release.
Poles are arranged to hold small, medium and large pieces.
(1) Rotary Magnetic Chucks
Rotary chucks are constructed with poles running off the edge. Theyoperate in the same way as the rectangular chucks do. The topplates are constructed out of brazing magnetic steel andnonmagnetic stainless steel. Dowel pins or screws may be insertedin the top plate to withstand the high torque of used on lathes, grinders and other machinery with heavy lathe cuts. Chuck topplates may be machined for work with odd configurations or anauxiliary plate may be added and removed for other work, leavingthe original plate intact.
(2) Pole Chucks
Pole chuck are of two types- Transverse pole chuck and Longitudinalpole chuck. In transverse pole chuck the poles run across the chuckfrom side to side. The pole spacing varies from chuck to chuck. That is, it is minimum in small chuck and maximum in bigchucks.
In longitudinal pole chuck the poles run the length of the chuckfrom end to end. Top plates on both chucks are furnace brazed, making the magnetic and nonmagnetic steel into one solid, watertight unit
(3) Rectangular Magnetic Chucks
Rectangular magnetic chucks too are designed for providing highperformance work and holding capabilities. Rectangular magneticchucks too, like circular magnetic chucks feature brass-and-steeltop plates for coolant resistance. The chucks use ceramic magnetsfor maximum workholding and easy release. They come in twovarieties- Standard pole chuck and Fine pole chuck.
(4) Permanent Magnetic Chucks
High powered ceramic magnets are used for making standard polepermanent magnetic chucks. The magnetic and non magnetic stainlesssteel are furnace brazed, making a solid, one piece construction. The magnets can be drilled to a required depth. It is between thepoles or anywhere in the top that drilling or machining is done. Atthe top plates there are no magnets. Handles on all permanentmagnetic chucks are removable.
