The most exciting part of Jingshanpark is that tourists can have an birds’ eye view of Forbidden City at the top of mountain.
History
Located just after Forbidden City ,Jingshan park was one part of the Yuan dynasty palace(1271-1368).It was destroyed at the end of the Yuan dynasty.The last emperor Chongzhen of Ming dynasty(1368-1644) hanged himself here.When the Forbidden City moat was digged , the clay was piled up here making the hill we saw today. Five pavilions were built on the hill , and the five Budda statues were shrined .Unluckily the five Buddas statues were took away during the Eight Power invaded Beijing.Nowone of them back to the hill. It is popular park for local people to enjoy dancing , singing , talking , walking around here .
