Founded in 1958, GUOGUANG Electric co. , Ltd. Chengdu. (Previously named as State-owned Guoguang Electron Tube General factory, Guoguang General Electric Co. Chengdu) is a comprehensive factory dedicated in manufacturing of microwave electron. In the eighties, the factory has undergone a transfer from the military production to the civilian production and in October of 2000, the factory is re-constructured into a share-holding corporation.

The main business scope of the company is: Research and production for all kinds of microwave electron vacuum parts, special enameled copper wires, vacuum contactor and breaker, appliance of microwave energy, exhaust carts for Color TV kinescope, aircraft meal-cart, all kinds of non-standard machinery and electrical equipments, laser medical appliances, pressure head, electromagnetic brake, computer-controlled measuring management system for natural gas etc. The products have been sold as far as overseas market and achieved great contributions for the national defense and scientific research work.
