Future
Plastics have been made from finite resources, chiefly oil. The
growth of the market for sustainable resin derived from renewable
resources is driven by society's recognition that change is
required, because:
Oil is a finite resource - some say we are now facing the "peak in
oil supply"
Packaging and disposable products are short-term use items - they
create waste disposal and litter issues
Governments around the world are addressing these issues with
legislative restrictions and taxes to encourage recycling,
composting and the use of sustainable and renewable materials
Major brand owners and retailers want sustainable solutions to gain
a competitive edge ader in the supply of technically advanced
sustainable resin made from renewable resources.
