Ceramics is the oldest plastic substance used by mankind. Discovered 25 thousand years ago, pieces of ceramicwork have been found all over the world, dating from before the beginning of recorded history. Up to this day no better substitute has been discovered, quite on the contrary this substance born out of clay, water, air and fire has been gaining ground in new field, such as medicine and technology. Hence mankind will not be able to forsake it in the future.
The factory was named cesiro ceramics, sighisoara, Romania on january, 1st, 1991 when it began functioning as an independent unit, no longer a section of the former glass and pottery factory of sighisoara.
