Binh Minh has been manufacturing lacquerware since 1981, but only incorporated officially in 2002.It produces both functional and decorative items, including trays, coasters,tissue box holder, boxes, chopsticks, bowls, plates and lamps. The locally owned company also offers furniture fixings such as lacquer-coated balusters.
In 2007, Binh Minh shipped $60,000 worth of lacquerware. Major export markets are Japan, singapore, Franca, Philippines, the UK and Us.
Binh Minh is a member of the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh, giving it access to a wide network off wood suppliers.
Base material are mostly bamboo, ceramic, natural wood and MDF. The company sources wood from Hai phong in northern VietNam, while lacquer is bought from suppliers in Ho Chi Minh. Bamboo bases are purchased drom makers in Ha Tay.
