Shanghai Sunrise Polymer Material Co., Ltd. (abbr. Sunrise Polymer) is a private company with strong science and technology background founded by Prof. Dr. Zheng Baicun. The company was granted as the Key High-tech Enterprise of National Torch Plan, Shanghai Hi-tech Company and Shanghai Innovation Company by Ministry of Science and Technology of P.R.C. and Shanghai Municipal Government, respectively. Shanghai Sunrise Chemical Co. Ltd. (abbr. Sunrise Chemical) is the major share holder of Sunrise Polymer. Prof. Dr. Zheng and the management team are the owners of both Sunrise Chemical and Sunrise Polymer. Sunrise Polymer has its head office and R&D center in Shanghai. Sunrise Polymer has two JV companies with Interpolymer Limited, Nanjing Regal Polymer Co., Ltd. and Interpolymer (shanghai) Co., Ltd. in Shanghai.
Sunrise focuses more on construction performance chemicals, polymers, additives and other allied new materials. So far, the company has gained three National Key New Products, one Shanghai Famous Brand Product, etc. More than 60 patents have been filed and 30 of which were granted as Chinese invention patent. Sunrise Polymer has passed China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) Certification, which endows the company with the supplier certification for railway projects. The products have been applied in a number of national key projects, such as Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway, Kunming Changshui Airport, Jinping Hydropower Station, etc.
Sunrise Polymer has a talent team with strong innovation ability. We have wide experiences in R&D of building additive, engineering research, industrialization, application technical research and so on. Our company currently employees about 115 people including 36 technology development staff. The ratio of the number of people having bachelor degree or above is 68%, and the number of people with senior professional titles account for 41%.
Sunrise Polymer builds talent structure like doctor-master-bachelor. To develop talent, Sunrise cooperates with East China University of Science and Technology, Tongji University, Tianjin University and other institutions.
To connect R&D and market effectively, the Technology Center build a strong technical service team including doctor and master having prolific theory knowledge and rich practical experience. This team specializes in researching on the applied technology and performance test of product. It's also responsible for product technical support for client to solve problems in the process of using the product.
Sunrise Polymer mainly focuses on concrete admixture, mortar admixture, gypsum water reducing agent and floor care products. The main products include VIVID-series polycarboxylate hyperdispersants, SD-series mortar addtives and Lovelymore-series floor care products.
VIVID-series polycarboxylate hyperdispersants (concrete high performance water reducing agent, PCE) have been successfully applied in many key projects. Excellent durability of concrete with VIVID-series PCE made it successfully to be used in Kunming Changshui Airport- the Chinese 4th, the world's 5th largest civil airport. The long-time workability retention of concrete with VIVID-500 PCE made it to be used in Jinping hydropower station in Sichuan province. Good workability, slump retention of steel tube-confined concrete with VIVID PCE made it played an important role in Ganhaizite Bridge of Yalu Highway-the first bridge in Asia with all steel structure.
SD-series mortar additives product has been granted as National Key New Product in 2012. SD-600P hyperdispersant is mainly used in adhesive mortar, decoration mortar, water-proof mortar and so on. It can improve the workability and bonding performance of mortar. SD-601P hyperdispersant has high dispersibility and early strength accelerating performance and is mainly used in repair mortar, cement-based grouting material, self-leveling mortar, etc.
